Our Mission

WE LIVE HERE. WE GIVE HERE.

WE LIVE HERE. WE GIVE HERE.

Joyner Foundation’s mission is to support both local schools and classrooms and affordable housing opportunities in our area through grants and donations.

The Joyner Foundation was established in 2016 as an official non-profit 501(c)(3), with the purpose of giving back to the community we live in and serve.

Why housing?

Housing, and the security that it provides, is sometimes unattainable for both the young and old in our neighborhoods. Through our support from this Foundation, we will make funding available to help those in need obtain housing, and help the organizations that are making affordable housing available to them.

Why education?

We believe that education is critically important to the continuing development and growth of the Richmond area. Teachers are struggling in the classrooms because of the educational budgets in our school districts. This foundation is our way to help local schools and teachers access funds they may need to teach our youth to the high standards we all desire for the area’s children.

We are already getting started on our mission. In 2016 we made donations to the Peter Paul Foundation, the Partnership for Housing Affordability, Southampton Elementary School, and several local families during the holidays. In 2017 we made donations totaling $12,000 to project:HOMES, North Star Academy, Carver Elementary School, Podium Foundation, Housing Families First, the Ronald McDonald House and Conner’s Heroes.

The Joyner Foundation is on Richmond’s list of Top Corporate Donors at Bizsense Generosity Inc.
