The Joyner Foundation is proud to donate $1,500 to Northstar Academy. The grant will support Northstar’s Career Academy technical education and career preparation programming.
Northstar Academy is a unique and highly successful non-profit school that promotes educational excellence and career opportunities for students who have academic, physical or social challenges. Northstar Academy’s Academic Campus serves children K-12.
For high school seniors and young adults, Northstar Career Academy addresses and systematically removes barriers to employment by empowering students to gain industry experience, improve workplace social skills and increase efficiency in hands-on environments.
Students at Northstar Career Academy learn how to obtain in-demand careers both in the classroom (often earning industry credentials) as well as hands-on by partnering with businesses in the community. “We’re extremely appreciative of the generous support provided by the Joyner Foundation,” said Crystal Trent, Head of School. “With their assistance we’re able to make a difference in the lives of students everyday.”
